Patriots’ rookie quarterback Drake Maye was selected to the 2025 NFL Pro Bowl replacing Baltimore’s Lamar Jackson. Maye stands as the sole representative for the Patriots in the Pro Bowl as nobody else from New England was selected.
Maye is the second Patriots rookie quarterback in recent memory to make the Pro Bowl along with Mac Jones in 2021. He is also the second rookie quarterback this year to be selected to the Pro Bowl. Jayden Daniels, who was selected the pick before Maye in the 2024 NFL Draft, was also selected but opted out.
Drake Maye is one of only three rookies on the AFC’s team along with Las Vegas’ Brock Bowers and Jacksonville’s Brian Thomas Jr. This accolade so early on is a promising telling of what’s to come in Drake Maye’s career.
Joining Joe Burrow and Russell Wilson will also be a very beneficial learning experience for Maye. Being around two quarterbacks that have previously guided their teams to the Super Bowl can really help Maye’s growth going into his sophomore season.
Being surrounded by and playing against the top talent in the league as a rookie is something only a handful of players get to experience. This Pro Bowl selection seems like it could be the first of many for Drake Maye.
