No “Russ-ty” Wilson

On October 20 quarterback Russell Wilson made his Pittsburgh Steelers debut. Despite a slow start as Wilson shook off some cobwebs and rust, he found his groove and went on to have a stellar performance as his new team the Steelers blew out the Jets 37-15 in Pittsburgh.

Russell Wilson a Super Bowl champion in his own right had gone from the Denver Broncos to land in Pittsburgh and Steelers Nation could not be more thankful for it. Wilson supplanted the starter for the first six games of the season, Justin Fields and after the defeat of the Jets, it’s now Wilson’s job to lose.

By throwing two touchdown passes Wilson extended a league best streak of games with at least one touchdown pass to 20. In one massive victory, the Pittsburgh Steelers have instantly become an AFC favorite. A few weeks from now a major showdown will take place in Pittsburgh when the front running Baltimore Ravens in the AFC North come to town and former Raven Patrick Queen gets his first shot at his former team moving from the Ravens to the Steelers in 2024.
