BROSSARD – The Montreal Canadiens announced on Tuesday that 59 players will participate in training
camp, which will run from Sept. 18 to Oct. 7. The season and home opener is Wed., Oct 10 versus the Toronto Maple Leafs at the Bell Centre.
The 59 players participating in training camp include 35 forwards, 17 defencemen, and seven goaltenders.
Forty-three players have NHL contracts, while 12 players have AHL contracts. Three players were also invited on a
tryout basis (Logan Nijhoff, Charles Savoie, and Simon Motew).
Head coach Martin St. Louis and his assistants Trevor Letowski, Stephane Robidas and Eric Raymond, as
well as Adam Nicholas and Roger Grillo, will supervise practices, games, and evaluations during camp.
The Laval Rocket coaching staff of coach Pascal Vincent and assistants Daniel Jacob, Martin
Laperrière and Marco Marciano will also be at camp.
