Montreal Rookie Camp Roster Revealed

The Canadiens just released their rookie camp roster, and it is loaded. Logan Mailloux, Adam Engstrom, Lane Hutson, and David Reinbacher will all participate, which spells bad news for Toronto’s rookies facing them at the Prospect Showdown contests on Sept. 14 and 15 at the Bell Centre.

Engstrom and Reinbacher each have two years of pro experience, Mailloux was an AHL all-star last season, and both he and Hutson finished last year with the Canadiens. Look for the Bell Centre to be packed next weekend to see several of Montreal’s top prospects.

The forward group is led by Owen Beck, Luke Tuch, Filip Mesar, and Emil Heineman. All were drafted in the top two rounds of the NHL draft in the past five years.

The Canadiens 2024 Rookie Camp will be held at the CN Sports Complex in Brossard and Bell Centre in Montreal from September 11-17.

Here are the forwards and defencemen invited to the rookie camp:

The only two goalies invited to the camp are Quentin Miller and Samuel Richard.  Miller plays for Rimouski in the QMJHL and Richard spent the past two seasons at the University of New Brunswick.
