The talk of thanksgiving has been Columbus Blue Jackets 2022 6th overall David Jiricek, who is expected to be on the move in the coming weeks. Among those interested, there is reason to believe Montreal has been on of the teams inquiring about the just turned 21 year old.
Blue Jackets’ GM Don Waddell first opened negations saying that they would want a young piece in return in a similar boat as David Jiricek, however over the last few hours, he has leaned more lenient to a potential draft pick and prospect type of return.
Many independent sources have came out and speculated that the Habs have offered the Flames pick and Joshua Roy in a Jiricek trade, yet nothing has been confirmed just yet whether that speculation is true. However, Joshua Roy has been called up this week, and played a game at the Bell Centre with a Columbus scout in attendance, something to keep in mind.
Nothing is confirmed just yet, but this situation will definitely escalate regarding David Jiricek’s status going into this weekend.
