What an emotional game at Nissan Stadium last Sunday. All day I seemed to be screaming, “Hell yeah!” and then almost immediately, “Well shit.” It was, as I like to call it, a roller coaster game. Excitement runs high and then comes crashing down in an instant.
There were aspects I liked, and others that frustrated the hell out of me. Like I’m sure it was the same for most of you at the stadium or watching it somewhere else. As I was telling the Colts fans as we were exiting the stadium, “In the annals of history, a W is a W no matter how we got there.” At least we made it back to .500.
Fortunately, after two consecutive road games, the Boys in Blue return home to the Luke to face the 2-3 Miami Dolphins coming off their bye week. The Dolphins will be without Tua Tagovailoa and are going with Snoop Huntley again. Tua is eligible to return week 8 against the Cardinals, even if he is ready to go. As for the Colts QB situation, Anthony Richardson and Joe Flacco are expected to compete in a raucous game of “Rock, Paper, Scissors” to see who gets to go under center for the Colts this weekend.
On the injury front, D-Buck is eligible to come back off of IR and be active this week. As of the writing of this, D-Buck has not practiced and the team is supposed to have a “discussion” about the timetable of his return. Except for the line, the D seems to be pretty healthy this week. Trey Sermon popped up on the early injury report Wednesday with a knee problem. He is listed as questionable for the game against Miami. I had hoped that might of sparked JT to come back and help his teammates, but I don’t think that is going to happen this week. I personally still do not understand why Sermon is over Tyler Goodson on the depth chart. Sermon has an average of 2.5 yards per carry and has a season long rush of 17 yards. While Tyler Goodson is averaging 5.9 yards per carry with a long rush of 33 yards. If JT ends up sippin’ gin and juice on the sideline this Sunday, I sure hope Tyler gets the start.
Looking into my crystal horseshoe, I see AR returning to the starting lineup this week. For my off the wall prediction, I am going with a defensive TD this week. As to the game itself, I’m going with Colts 27 Dolphins 17, thus going with the over.
