There have been a lot of things said about Gus Bradley all season, but I kind of have to stand up for the guy on this one. Despite what the armchair coaches have been saying about him, he went into Jacksonville with a plan and by God he carried it out with flawless execution. With the season and his job on the line, he planned the best damn surprise birthday party he could have for Trevor Lawrence on Sunday. Now that’s one helluva guy right there. Screw my job, screw the fans, screw the season, I’m giving my boy T-Wrecks the best damn birthday present he could’ve ever wanted!
Poor Trevor has had a rough go of it this season. Only one game over 200 yards, just a smattering of touchdowns and a QB rating that damn near resided in Curtis Painter’s neighborhood, let alone his basement. Well, ol’ Good Guy Gus to the rescue! Thanks to Gus’s meticulous birthday planning, he was able to give T-Wrecks his career high 371 passing yards, 2 TDs and a QB rating of 119.5! Just to make it even more memorable, Trevor even had an unbelievable 85 yard touchdown strike to rookie Brian Thomas, whose birthday, by the way, is this Tuesday October the 8th! See I told you Gus was a good dude. My birthday isn’t until December, so I guess he had no reason to give me anything I wanted on Sunday. I know I didn’t ask for heartburn, indigestion or chest pains, but I sure as hell had all three of those after watching the Trevor Lawrence Birthday Extravaganza!
