This is a must win game. It’s gut-check time. We have to play one game at a time. They need to play until the whistle has blown. They need to play 60 full minutes of football. The guys have to give 110% this week. They need to leave it all out on the field! Jeffrey Epstein didn’t kill himself. Whew! That was exhausting. Now that I have those damn cliches out of the way, on to the synthesized meat product and the lab grown spuds.
I’m not going to beat the corpse of the horse that has been beaten to death already this week. It was ugly, we know it was ugly. Time to move on to the Texicans. The Texicans pulled out a close one on their first meeting with the Colts, beating us 29-27. That score is a little misleading though. Houston’s time of possession was double that of the Colts and they outgained us by 115 yards on offense. We were lucky to be in it in that one. As to this week, Vegas has the Colts getting 6 points down in Houston. The over/under is set at 46. Reliant/NRG Stadium has been a relatively friendly place for the Horseshoe to visit over the last several years. The Colts have won 6 out of the last 8 meetings with the Texicans of Houston at the Houston stadium.
Deforest Buckner, Jonathan Taylor and EJ Speed all returned to practice this week. Although D-Buck and JT were both limited in practice, the hope of every single Colts fan is that they both get the start this week. This is, as the cliché already told ya, a must win game for the Colts. Houston sits alone at the top of the AFC South at 5-2 with the Colts limping in behind them at 4-3, winning their last two games. If the Colts can put together another win in Houston this weekend, the Colts would be tied for first in their division. The flipside of that coin is, that if we lose, that puts us two games behind the Texicans, with them holding the tie-breaker. Like I said, this is a must win game!
