The Browns haven’t played in nine days, but there are always stories that come out during the bye week. Most are rumors or speculation about trades. This story comes from a lineman that most Cleveland fans haven’t been too happy with for quite some time.
Yesterday, a story broke about Jedrick Wills. Wills has been under a microscope since his sophomore year, and the tape and stats don’t lie. He has had an underwhelming career, especially for a first round pick. With 19 games missed in his career, his only full season came in 2022.
Why is he on the news now? Jedrick Wills “made a business decision” not to play against the Ravens on October 27 because he was hurt. His reasoning was to not play hurt, which isn’t the worst move. The next week, he was benched for Dawand Jones. Jones has been amazing when he is at his playing weight, but that seems to be an ongoing challenge this season. Part of the reason that Jones should stay at LT is because of stability. Having the same offensive line week after week builds chemistry. With Jack Conklin back at RT, Jones was moved to LT, and by the looks of things, he will be there for the rest of the season, unless the coaching staff wants a change.
