After a resounding 31-10 win in Seattle over the Seahawks last Sunday, the Buffalo Bills head home to upstate New York to take on the Miami Dolphins. What fantasy performances can football fans expect from some of the Bills’ most important playmakers and units this week? Let’s break it down:
Keon Coleman, WR
The rookie wideout from Florida State had 5 receptions for 70 yards and a touchdown in the Bills’ win last week and recorded a career-high 18.0 PPR fantasy points. After only seeing 11 targets in his first four games, Coleman was targeted 23 times in the previous four. He is gaining the trust of quarterback Josh Allen, and this bodes well for fantasy owners who have him on their roster. Coleman should be a flex option in all fantasy leagues this week, even against a Dolphins defense that ranks top-5 in passing defense. Cornerback Jalen Ramsey will likely be lined up against Amari Cooper, possibly making room for Coleman to be that reliable second option for Allen.
Dalton Kincaid, TE
The second-year tight end has had 6 or more targets in the past five games, making him one of the more valuable tight ends in the NFL. However, he only has two touchdowns so far in 2024, leaving him reliable enough to be a TE1 for a fantasy owner but with a lower ceiling than comparable tight ends Cade Otton and Evan Engram. The Dolphins allow on average 9.5 fantasy points to tight ends per game, in the ballpark of what Kincaid usually puts up.
Bills D/ST
The last time the Bills played the Dolphins in Week 2, their defense picked off quarterback Tua Tagovailoa three times, including a pick-six. While it’s not wise to expect a repeat of that performance, it is also important to note that Buffalo has won 12 out of the past 13 games against Miami. In the last three matches between the two teams, the Dolphins have not been able to score more than 20 points. However, one concern for Bill’s defense is that in four games this season they have allowed 350 or more yards of offense to opponents. Raheem Mostert, Devon Achane, Tyreek Hill, and Jaylen Waddle all have the potential to score plenty on the Bill’s defense, but recent history suggests that the Bill’s defense may find success on Sunday.
Best Bet: Khalil Shakir has over 50 receiving yards
Shakir had 9 receptions and 120 receiving yards last week against the Seahawks. He also was targeted a season-high 10 times, which means he brings plenty of momentum going into this week against Miami. Especially if fellow wideout Amari Cooper is limited or out with a wrist injury, Shakir will continue to get many looks from Allen in the passing game.
