With the Steelers coming off a nail biter in Washington, the stage is now set for possibly one of, if not the best games the AFC will see this year.
With the Buffalo Bills dominating the East, the Kansas City Chiefs undefeated in the West, and the South having struggles, the North is where all the actions at.
This season the North started out as a one man show, with the Steelers leading the way, starting out at 3-0. The Ravens at 1-2 and the Bengals 0-3, it seemed as though the mighty had fallen. Unfortunately for the Steelers, that lead was short lived, as the Ravens would win their next four games. If it wasn’t for their disappointing display against the Browns in week eight, the Ravens would be sitting atop the North at 8-2.
With their win Thursday night in an offensive shootout with the Bengals, the Ravens and Steelers are headed into week 11 with the Steelers having the slight advantage of only two losses to the Ravens three.
Now we get the dream game for the NFL, the Ravens will be making their way into Acrisure Stadium this Sunday for a 1p.m. showdown that will most certainly be one for the ages. As if the Ravens and Steelers didn’t have a heated enough rivalry already, now they will be battling it out for supremacy in the division.
This game is pivotal in that the Steelers and Ravens will be playing again come December 21st at M&T Bank Stadium in Baltimore. Taking the first of the pair could prove very beneficial for the Steelers headed down the stretch.
In between meetings the Steelers will play the Browns twice as well as the Bengals and Eagles, giving them a rough divisional road ahead. The Ravens will play the Chargers, Eagles, and Giants, with a bye week thrown in as well, which could really give the Steelers the upper hand come December 21st.
Only time will tell how this division will play out, all we really know for sure is this Sunday is going to be a grudge match. Upon checking the weather today, it should be great conditions, a high or 60 degrees, slight chance of rain and slightly windy. All signs point to the Steelers being right at home, and with the ramped up crowd, the odds are in their favor.
